3 Reasons Why You'll Love Watching Jungle Jim's Musical Adventures with your Child & A Special Offer for Readers #ad

This post is part of a sponsored campaign for Jungle Jim - A Musical Wildlife Adventure. I received compensation for my participation, but my review and opinions are my own.

No matter the season my boys are always asking if they can go to our local zoo, especially our youngest who is completely fascinated by each animal's characteristics and abilities.
We even joined a nature club at the Bronx zoo & joined other families as we explored the plants and surroundings in the rain and snow & toured the exhibits to learn about an array of creatures. It was a lot of fun but let's be honest, weekly trips to the zoo aren't always feasible so we're always on the look out for educational books and programming like Jungle Jim's Musical Adventures to encourage our kids to think about the world around them and the creatures that inhabit our planet out in the wild and that are cared for in their favorite zoo's and aquariums.

Jungle Jim was created by Steven Wagner. Every night before bed his children would want to read books about animals and talk about them. Steve woke up one morning with an idea for a musical animal show, and has since been developing the concept so that he can help kids everywhere satisfy their curiosity about animals.

In the show, Jungle Jim explores the animal kingdom with his friends Flip the Monkey, Dash the Cheetah, Scratch the Porcupine and Stripes the Tiger.

Steven’s brother Eric, who is a musician, wrote and produced all the music. Eric is also all the voices of the animal except Dash the Cheetah. Jungle Jim is voiced by Eric’s son.

My lil monster and I had the chance to site down to check out the trailer of the show and he truly enjoyed it and wanted to keep watching! Not only was it educational but it incorporated his love of music.

1. Catchy Music
Jungle Jim offers original music with animals singing songs about themselves to teach kids fun animal facts. Tristan loved watching each one pick up a cool instrument and each song had him dancing in his seat, we even caught our oldest humming along to the theme song. Through song and quick repetitions and easy to remember rhyming words kids are able to easily remember the facts they've learned. Don't you love it when your kids are having fun while learning and don't even realize it?

2. Fun Facts about Animals Encourage Questions
As a parent and former preschool educator I'm all for a show that helps to get kids thinking and I was actually surprised at all the questions he had as each animal was introduced. This allowed some quality time for me and Tristan as we expanded on what he saw on the show.
  • Stripes the Tiger: "Camouflage is a big word mommy, why are the animals hiding?"
  • Scratch the Porcupine: "If the porcupine's quills are sharp, how come they don't hurt him too?"
  • Dash the Cheetah: "Wow, a cheetah is faster than a car? What about a bus or a plane?"

3. Live Footage Brings the Educational Experience to life
While the kids are sure to enjoy the colorful animation, there's nothing like being able to view live footage of the animals in their natural habitat and this certainly helps them with thinking about how they exist in real life.

The goal of the show is to provide worthwhile content so parents feel confident that what they are showing is age appropriate for their children. Parents and educators alike praise the unique ability of Jungle Jim music videos to educate, excite and inspire & they need your help to create some buzz if you enjoyed the pilot like we did!
So far Jungle Jim has gotten excellent feedback from parents and has received 488 amazing reviews on Amazon (not one negative review) and over 1000 amazing reviews on YouTube (also no negative reviews); families are saying how much they love it. If your children are between the ages of 2-5 and honestly even if they just have a love for music and animals you should have your little one check it out!

  2. My oldest daughter loves anything to do with animals. She has been an animal lover since she was little, and has passed her love of animals to her younger cousins. Even though she's now 10, I know she would love watching Jungle Jim with her cousins -- or even by herself ;)

  3. I can't wait to check this out! My kids love animals and ever since we moved upstate we've missed our almost weekly trips to the bronx zoo. This would be great for satisfying their curiousity about wildlife! Definitely checking this out and sharing with my friends as well.

  5. I think fun music and engaging stories always get the children to enjoy more. Kids not only learn about animals when they visit the zoo but also through things they watch on TV whether it be Animal Discovery or cartoons. Parents should always guide them though and provide supplementary information on the side to help with learning.

  7. Jungle Jim sounds like a fun show! My niece is the right age for it and we're babysitting her in a couple of weeks. I'll definitely keep this in mind. I love kids shows with catchy music and educational content that's also entertaining. I think kids absorb more when it's made fun!
