When Life Calls for a Mom's Night Out You Take It! #MTNightOut2

Squeezing in an hour or two just for myself kind of seemed trivial, knowing how tragic September ended for my family - loosing a loved one unexpectedly is never easy to wrap your head around. Yet at the same time, I needed a moment to breathe, to stop crying....... I needed a night out even if it meant it was a "work" thing. Despite rocking our best smile from cheek to cheek, I'm sure a handful of mama's in the room probably had some form of crap going on. Being able to revel in a MomTrends night out while learning about the latest products and destinations to help ease the day-to-day of #momlife was just the break I needed and beyond appreciated.

Running from one event to the next, these concrete streets are not kind to the feet! I'm the last person to sacrifice comfort for style, I mean the very last person. Don't get me wrong, I want to be just as cute as the next one but not at the expense of agonizing over my discomfort due to a pair of shoes. I ran track and field through middle school and high school and have the worst shin splints and I'm just not for complaining about how uncomfortable I am during my commute throughout the city. Hubby and I have sworn by New Balance for nearly two decades, owning a collection in every color combination imaginable.

A neutral pair of Fresh Foam Arishi by New Balance are the perfect addition to add to your mom style because they have lightweight breath-ability & are so dang cushioned, each step feels like you're floating on air. Added bonus is that the overcast gray color will go with everything in your closet and I'm seriously loving that the "N" is a shimmery metallic.

We all know as new mom's a good night sleep {or any time of day} is sometimes truly hard to come by and even if it's just a smudge of concealer, a bit of make-up may be needed to enhance our already natural beauty and to hide the evidence of lack of catching zzzzz'sss. Far from "New Mom" status, I personally couldn't wait to jump into the GlamSquad chair to get my eyes done up.

SwaddleMe has added 5 new products to  their line that help promote safe sleep for infants. You have to check out the new SwaddleMe Kicksie, SwaddleMe Footsie and The Essentials, Baby Bath and Little Lovey gift sets.

The scent of lavender is not only relaxing but it brings a sense of calmness and joy whenever I'm near it. Piecing together this bouquet of wild-flowers I thought would be a fun, sweet gesture to bring my sissy Nicole who's an amazing mommy to my nephew Baby Q. Mothering came naturally to my sister because she had played a significant role in helping care for and love our boys, especially Tristan.

Auntie Coco never had a problem being on diaper duty with our monsters, regardless of how terrible the smell. So it's funny to see our nephew give her a hard time as he wiggles around the changing pad, and gets growingly got annoyed with the entire process. Oh man, I know the Munchkin Step Pail is on the registry lists of so many new parents because the potential stench can be pretty stinky and of course we want something that eliminates the smell. What you'll love most is the self-sealing system that seals the bag shut as the lid closes and it's proven #1 in odor control!

Bonus! For every pail purchased, Munchkin will plant a tree.

Now a real time out would be the chance to pack up our bags for a family vacation to Williamsburg, VA designed to our every liking. We've been talking about taking a road trip and it was pretty fun to take a few minutes to curate our "Greater Williamsburg" dream trip which would allow us to have fun, relax and satisfy our curiosity. Named one of the top 15 cities in the U.S. in Travel + Leisure’s “2017 World’s Best Awards” there seems to be something for everyone! We hardly ever pause just to recharge so I'd ideally be looking to unwind with sea to table dining and spa treatments at Kingsmill Resort, and my three guys would probably want to immerse themselves in a history museum tour or a zipline adventure.

Peanut butter was a staple part of my childhood, and is currently a staple in our cabinet not only for our boys but for our two dogs. Jif is aiming to make to world a better place by celebrating kids and everything they do. By feeding kids their potential we can make the world an amazing place where kids proudly use their best qualities {creativity, imagination and bravery} to inspire each other. Through their "Imagine-If" campaign, Jif wants to offer families a chance to win $30K to make their ideas a reality.

This mom's night out was just what us busy, multi-tasking mama's needed to unwind! Thank you Momtrends, Meredith Publications & SwaddleMe, Munchkin, New Balance, Jif and Visit Williamsburg for such a wonderful evening!

  4. Oh what a great MNO event! I never get away for just myself. The closest I got was yesterday taking my daughter to a friends house, and her mom and I sat and chatted and enjoyed some wine while the girls played Barbies upstairs.
