Camp DreamWorks: A Family-Friendly Summer Camp Experience to Spark Imagination and Creativity

Whew, moms and dads, we've made it!!! We're kicking off the official first week of Summer and making plans to keep our kids busy and engaged as we continue to practice safe social distancing. Starting Monday, June 22, our friends at Dream Works will launch #CampDreamWorks with daily activities every day at 4PM EST/ 1PM PST themed around your favorite characters from their awesome animated collection.

As most school days around the country have come to an end, I'm sure you're looking for ways to expand your child's imagination and spark creativity.  I've personally never gone to camp as a kid, but have had lots of fun crafting and engaging little ones as a camp counselor during one of my very first jobs as a teen.

Our boys usually spend our summers at city-funded programs like Flag Football through NYC Parks so our youngest is definitely a bit bummed that they've been canceled and I know I'm going to have to break up our days with more than physical activities.

With just one week of school left for our NYC kids, we can't wait to ditch the laptops and workbooks to spend some extra quality time with each other by creating and staying connected.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM CAMP EACH WEEK

Each week of DreamWorks camp features easy-to-join activities that the entire family can enjoy from crafts and coloring pages to recipes and fun ways to get moving. We've got our eye out for any fun featuring our household favorites like: Boss Baby, Captain Underpants, Archibold, The Trolls and of course Kung Fu Panda. You can find daily activities each week on the DreamWorks Animation Facebook page and lots of activities HERE

Kids can draw beloved characters along with DreamWorks artists, join a DJ-hosted Kipo and an Age of Wonderbeasts dance party, create a Spirit Riding Free inspired obstacle course & more, all while staying home!

#CampDreamWorks will help keep summer fun for kids missing out on summer camp, at home! If you end up sharing any of the fun activities you've participated in on social media, use our hashtag #ReelFamiliesWatch too so we can all see what everyone's been up to.
