Time sure does fly when you're having fun and I just can't believe we are almost through the month of July and already thinking about buying uniforms, lunch planning and after school activities for our lil' monsters. As my boys countdown until heading to the 1st grade and middle school, I'm realizing I've got quite a bit of shopping to do over the next 4-5 weeks and luckily I can always count on getting the scoop on the latest trends and product launches during the annual Momtrends Back to school party hosted by Nicole Feliciano and her awesome team.
Fun prints and bold colors are definitely favorites in our house and the back to school collection from British brand Joules seems to hit the nail on the head. My boys are big fans of the graphic tees that feature trendy phrases and their raincoats and lunchboxes with animal prints.
Secretly I was wishing this tee came in my size since I don't have a daughter. You can never go wrong with a touch of sparkle.
Active kids need shoes that will keep up with all their high energy fun and adventure. Keen makes shoes that are not only durable for outdoor play but are super stylish for both boys and girls. My soon to be 1st grader hasn't gotten a great handle on tying his shoes yet so I really loved the versions that look like they had laces but are easy to put on. Little girls will love the color blocking on the boots {picture above}because they'll match every outfit to perfection.
I can't tell you how happy I was to see that Chewbeads had created a Juniorbeads line for older kids and that there were some really awesome dog tags and shark tooth chains for boys to accessorize with. Not only are they cool but they are a great distraction from nail biting and pencil and shirt chewers and help with your child's sensory needs.
During the fashion show, blogger kids came out rocking head to toe stylish looks featuring Joules and Keen and we all were eyeing the creative backdrop from Wallpops that could makes a big statement in any room of your house!
Are you always looking for new snacks that your kids will enjoy? Earth's Best has organic, healthy options that can be packed quickly and taste so yummy. I had no idea that Earth's Best had freezer to table options but I know their gluten free choices, mini meatballs and other finger foods would be a hit at lunchtime and even dinner if you have no time to prepare anything and of course the kiddies will enjoy having a fruit cup too!
Ella's Kitchen has an assortment of yummy juices, smoothies & snacks that are perfect for on the go!
Goodbye smushed sandwiches and broken granola bars! Lunch Box Buddy's are taking bringing lunch from home to a whole new level, in 3 assorted colored containers that are durable & easy to clean.
Teaching kids to celebrate their uniqueness is so important so it's no wonder Yoobi has teamed up with artist Pharrell Willaims on their "I am Other" collection that features an assortment of 50 products that kids will need to head back to the classroom: backpacks, binders, pens, lunch bags, notebooks and more! The best part about purchasing items from this Target exclusively sold line and Yoobi in general is that with each item purchased Yoobi will donate to a classroom here in the U.S.
Naturally to keep track of everything you're going to need Mabel's Labels to put on all of your kids belongings because they are dishwasher, washing machine and microwave safe. We love them because it help's us differentiate who's water bottle thermos or pencil case is who's when the boys end up with the same exact ones. And as your kids get sent home with artwork, reports, awards and more you can neatly stash it all in their news "My School Year's portfolio".
What party full of hard-working mama's would be complete without boozy popsicle drinks to stay refreshed in July?
Take a peek at all the fun we had thanks to Momtrends in the video below.
