Kids of All Ages will Revel in the Modern Day Magic of HGTV's Santa HQ #loveHGTV

Can you believe it? CJ's 12th birthday is slowly creeping up on us and it's usually right around Christmas that I realize that soon my mini me will no longer be my baby. Which leaves me beyond anxious as I wait year to year for the moment when he realizes for the 1st time or finally comes clean to playing along about Santa's existence. CJ has questioned the realness of Santa in the past and we've always just asked him If he wanted to believe in him and if so then to revel in the seasonally fleeting moments. We've waited in 3 hour long lines in the city to see Saint Nick so it was a very welcomed opportunity to check out a new, fun & interactive twist on the North pole so close to home {two blocks away from my parent's apartment building} with HGTV's Santa HQ in Queens Center Mall.

Disclosure: We were invited as Media to HGTV's Santa HQ to facilitate this review. We received a gift bag and no other compensation was received. Opinions are 100% honest.

While I was out of town {and feeling quite bummed that I was missing this} the hubby and our two monsters were joined by my mom and my auntie Rita for a new & unique experience for kids of all ages. This time of year is especially hard for my aunt and the entire family as she lost her husband, our uncle Dave - four years ago this month. This was also the year we lost two uncles, their brothers Eddie{Poncho} and Glen, so an extra bit of Holiday cheer is much needed to stay in good spirits heading into 2017.

The new Santa HQ  from HGTV invites families to experience the wonder of Santa’s workshop in the digital and social media age. This engaging new version of a visit with Santa uses digital tools to offer an augmented reality environment and a thoroughly new, enhanced social media experience for families.

At Santa HQ, kids will be “scanned” as they arrive to determine if they’ve been “naughty or nice,”. When you get a peak at the video of my families experience you'll see just how excited they were to be there. My Aunt Rita looked like such a cheeseball as she anticipated the result of her scan nervously. It was too cute! Tristan giggled the entire time and I heard that CJ was pretty scared his results would teeter towards the Naughty side.

Then guests enter an observatory where they use special tablets to view Santa’s magical world - the night sky or Santa’s elves at work, for instance – be able to take an “ELFIE” (a photo opp as a dancing elf) and much more.

Take a look at the great time our family had:

Of course, the traditional experience of photos with Santa also will be available at Santa HQ.

Visitors to Santa HQ can expect a jingle-filled moment of sensory overload, in which the sights and sounds of the season will be immersive and engaging. From now until December 24, seven days a week Santa will be ready to host visitors for a jolly good time at this new Santa HQ.

Guests can make reservations now by visiting www.santa-hq.comThroughout the season, Queens Center invites all shoppers to bring an unwrapped new toy in celebration of Help Through Holiday Giving. All toys will be donated to local Queens charities serving families and children in need. Help them reach their goal of 1000 toys for children in need.
