Celebrate Diversity with Sesame Street Live: Make a New Friend and 25% off on Tickets #ad

Having grown up and now raising our own two children here in NYC it's always been an amazing learning experience because of the diverse mix of people that live here and visit from other countries on a daily. In our very own building, because we live close to the airport our boys have managed to make friends with children who's parents are here on business with the United Nations, from Egypt, Dubai, Japan and more. It's wonderful to see how they embrace each other and help their friends adjust to being here, especially those who don't speak English very well yet. From early on we've taught our boys not to judge others based on the color of their skin, religions etc and to accept everyone's beautiful differences. As cliche as it sounds the world would be rather boring if we were all the same. Sesame Street Live is back in New York with their show "Make a New Friend" which shows our lil' monsters how to celebrate friendship and similarities despite cultural differences.

Rock This Boat Season 2: Interview with New Kids on the Block #NKOTB #Rockthisboat

With the mention of iconic boy band New Kids on the Block I can't help but start singing - "Oh, oh, oh, oh...Oh, oh, oh, oh...Oh, oh, oh, oh...the right stuff!" Having grown up listening to Jordan, Donnie, Joey, Danny & Jonathan belt out tunes that made teenage girls of the 80s and 90s swoon over the heartthrobs, I can't imagine how insanely fun it would be on a cruise ship with those now women as they get to enjoy photo opps and live shows with the heartthrobs that made them melt back in the day. Earlier this month I headed to CBS Studio 's Adorama Live Theater where I had the chance to view an early screening of one of the episodes and sat in on a live streamed Q&A with the boy band  to discuss everything from forgetting the lyrics to their songs before a cruise performance, traveling with their kids and how MTV hated on them back in the day.

Licensed to Move: Imagination Movers in Concert

As parents, we have all employed the power of music for the benefit of our kids. The exposure to varying types of music from lullabies to nursery rhymes, theme songs of their favorite shows, to even simple and unique melodies we make up for our children play an important role in our kids’ development. I tend to let my musical side come out by constantly making melodies for my three year old baby girl of the most mundane things. She is a lover of music and so I have found that is a great way to reach her even in her crankiest of moments. There is no better feeling for us than to find that magical way where we can entertain our children while teaching them.

Bringing Good Things Together: American Express Launches New Plenti Credit Card & Rewards Program w/ a #PlentiTogether Concert

Typically I'm not a fan of Sunday nights because it just means the dreaded Monday blues start to set in, but when the opportunity arose to cover a concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom here in NYC for The Mama Maven Blog popped up, I set all my qualms aside and counted down till girls night out with my sissy.

Last week we attended the first-ever PlentiTogether LIVE show, on behalf of the new Plenti Credit Card from Amex, which featured amazing performances from Nick Jonas, Pitbull and Keith Urban! Those three talented, and not to mention very good looking guys, sure know how to put on a beyond entertaining show that had all the ladies swooning! So because Plenti is all about bringing good things together, it only makes sense that they would plan a concert featuring these 3 mega - superstars.

The Crowd was full of energy and the DJ was on point while z100 morning show host Elvis Duran hit the stage to introduce the performers. Nick Jonas crooned hits like "Jealous" and "Chains" while grabbing up the phones of audience members so that he could snap pics of himself. Check out my video down below, hope it doesn't make you to jealous!

Keith Urban performed "Cop Car" and "Somebody Like You" while shredding guitar in the midst of the crowd on the dance floor and he even had an audience member join him.

Mr. WorldWide, Pitbull closed out the show with his gorgeous dancers while singing #1s "Timber" and "Give Me Everything."

Plenti is the first loyalty coalition involving major US brands, like AT&T, Exxon, Macy’s, Rite Aid, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Hulu, that lets you earn Plenti points at one place and use them for savings at another. With the new Plenti Credit Card from Amex, Card Members can earn 1 Plenti point for every dollar spent on eligible purchases in addition to the ones earned through the Plenti rewards program.

Happy Weekend! Let's LINK Up

I'm not really sure where exactly winter went and if it ever really arrived seeing as we'll be seeing abnormally high temperatures this weekend, but I would like to still get in one good snowball fight. I got back early this morning after hours in the ER and couldn't imagine staying a minute longer, and not just because I was missing the new episode of Scandal but because it was a madhouse filled with people sporting those blue scary masks, babies spinning around in the aisles and folks hobbling out on crutches. Turns out our 8yr. old monster CJ caught this nasty flu bug too. This weekend will be relatively quiet, finally taking down the Christmas decor and we were planning to enjoy a leisurely day anywhere outdoors with the monsters on Sunday but that's probably not likely if CJ is still under the weather. It's all good though, that just means we can crack open his Disney Headbanz game he got as a Christmas gift from his Auntie Coco. I promise to share pics of how we spent our holiday and how the hubby & I celebrated our 10 yr. anniversary in the East Village. I'm also in the works of officially becoming DellahsJubilation.com and sprucing up the site a bit {hopefully sooner then later}.  I hope you all live in the moment & enjoy the weekend and stay cootie free & healthy.
